Villages and Towns

There are many villages and towns within easy reach of Tranquility. All have banks, supermarkets, a local market day, post office, pharmacy, hospital, park and places of interest. Every village and town in Spain has a local fiesta which can last for up to two weeks ! 

Within 20 minutes -  Blanca, Ricote, Abaran, Bullas

Within 25 minutes – Cieza, Mula

Within 30 minutes – Archena

Within 40 minutes – Calasparra

Within 45 minutes – Caravaca de la Cruz

The scenery en route to these villages is very picturesque so you may want to take a “slow ride” to take it all in.

Cities

In forty minutes you can be in the city of Murcia which is very beautiful and well worth exploring. It has many shops, a cathedral, churches, museums, parks and plazas. Also you will find botanical gardens, shopping malls and of course a wide choice of restaurants and bars.

Granada is about 2 hours away and Valencia 3 hours.

A huge spa complex with mineromedicinal springs where the roman soldiers used to relax on coming home from their campaigns.

For wine lovers the towns of Jumilla and Yecla are a short drive away and here you can visit numerous bodegas. These wines are comparable to the riojas of northern Spain and you may sample them before purchasing. Tours of the bodegas are also available. Bullas has a wine museum which explains the process of wine production.

Shopping

Murcia has a wealth of shops including the Carrefour and Eroski hypermarkets. For something a little more laid back you could visit one of the local artesan markets on a Sunday in various towns
